A hidden haven, for nature
& for you.

Amidst the raw, untamed beauty of the Pench National Park buffer zone in Madhya Pradesh lies Haldu Tola, our home, shaded by the ancient and stately Haldu tree (Haldina cordifolia). A tranquil retreat, where Indian tribal heritage, contemporary comforts, and nature's grandeur converge, offers an intimate escape into serenity. Here, unfiltered wilderness greets you at every turn, yet modern convenience is thoughtfully curated to ensure an effortless and rejuvenating stay.

Pool
Haldu Tola is more than a Villa

It is a heartfelt homage to nature and the Gond tribal culture, one of India’s oldest and most vibrant indigenous communities.

Inspired by the traditional hamlets—locally called tolas—this architectural masterpiece features eight artfully designed buildings that encircle a lush courtyard bursting with vivid blooms.

Designed with an ecological conscience, the villa operates on solar energy, embraces water conservation practices, and preserves its untamed landscape while maintaining a plastic-free ethos.

The Team of Haldu Tola

The spirit of the wilderness is not just led, it is lived by
a team that calls it home.

The soul of the experience

At Haldu Tola, the soul of the experience lies in its people, a close-knit team rooted in the villages that surround Pench, carrying forward a deep, lived connection with the land.

Rameshwar Bopte, Roop Singh Kodape, Vrindavan Sevatkar, Mahesh Dhurvey, Rampat Invati, Shubham Marskole, Ishor Karveti and Ajay Kumar Bhavre, along with Omkar Uikey, Rajesh Pal Invati, Neel Gogate, Sant Kumar Bhalawi and Shiv Kumar Uikey, together form a team that embodies the spirit of the जंगल.

Raised amidst these forests, their understanding of the wild is instinctive and enduring. Whether it is sharing local stories, guiding guests through lesser-known trails, or simply helping one pause and listen to the forest, their passion is both genuine and deeply personal.

At Haldu Tola, this team does more than host. They invite you into their world, offering an experience shaped by authenticity, warmth and a profound respect for nature.

Neel
Neel Gogate

Some journeys into the wild begin with curiosity. Others evolve into a lifetime of purpose.

With nearly 30 years of experience in wildlife conservation, research and tourism, Neel Gogate, General Manager at Haldu Tola, brings a rare depth of knowledge shaped across India’s tiger landscapes. From pioneering tiger research at Panna National Park to leading community conservation initiatives with WWF-India, and later transforming wildlife tourism with Taj Safaris and Jamtara Wilderness Camp, his journey reflects both science and storytelling. Deeply observant and intuitive, Neel believes the forest is a living classroom, and at Haldu Tola, he seamlessly blends conservation, community and meaningful guest experiences.

Ajay
Ajay Bhavre

Some people learn the forest. Others are born into it.

Ajay Bhavre, Lead Naturalist at Haldu Tola, is deeply rooted in the wild landscapes of Pench Tiger Reserve, where he was born and raised. With over 15 years of experience guiding Indian and international travellers, Ajay brings an instinctive understanding of the जंगल to every safari and nature walk.

Skilled in identifying birds and mammals by sight and sound, reading tracks and signs, and interpreting the finer details of the ecosystem, Ajay transforms every outing into an immersive story of the wild. His knowledge spans flora, reptiles, amphibians and more, but it is his engaging storytelling that truly brings the forest alive.
